Artist's Comments

My first attempt at a drypoint. Part of a printmaking brief, one half being a drypoint and the other being a reductive linocut. I do have colour versions of this, but I still think that the black and white is more effective. The shed is one on the allotments just down the road from Grays.

I love the scratchy raw feel of drypoint. Effective little piece-I especially like the crow on the shed. What is the plate?

Thank you! I think I love drypoint to. :) It was my first drypoint piece and came out better than I thought it would. We were given perspex sheets to work on and I ended up using a needle to scratch into it.
